A fine and sunny morning at the far western end of Western Parade at Emsworth we saw a huge wall of ivy just coming out into flower. The whole area was covered in Hover Flies and several Red Admiral Butterflies, this was the only Tortoiseshell we saw but all glad of the limited amount of nectar available. We expected to see some Ivy Bees but there were none we could spot.
Eighteen months ago I started a 365 project, taking a photo every day for a year. I completed this in February and have actually found I miss the challenge of finding a subject to photograph each day. So I have set up this Blog with the aim of continuing it as an on-going mission. I may not manage it every day but I hope it will provide an interesting photographic journal. January 1st 2013: I have decided to stop adding to this Blog. Happy New Year!
