In memory of the Christchurch Earthquake here is a picture I took on this day last year with overlaid Silver Fern. This is the Kuoatunu Beach on the Coromandel where I had been while my husband was diving. We had a lovely day and then returned to our B&B to hear the news; a fellow guest from Yorkshire was in a terrible state as she had family in Christchurch and couldn't get hold of them. Our daughter lives in Auckland so we hadn't got such personal concerns but the whole country felt involved and affected.
